Built Differently On Purpose
BUILDING STRONGER, MORE VALUABLE BUSINESSES.
Most companies don’t suffer from a lack of ideas. They suffer from misaligned strategy, fragmented execution, and untapped potential.
By the time many leadership teams call us, they have already had the analysis. Others know something is wrong but cannot see the true constraint from inside the business. Either way, what is missing is not another collection of ideas. It is the alignment to choose the right path and the capacity to execute it.
There is no shortage of firms who will tell you what to do. There are far fewer who will stay in the room while it gets done.
EFFX is built to close that gap. You work directly with the senior operators who set the strategy and then execute it, with no layer in between. That makes the work faster and more cost efficient than firms many times our size, and it is possible because we run our engagements on our own AI infrastructure rather than on a pyramid of junior staff.

How We’re Different
THE MODEL IS THE DIFFERENCE.
Most firms are very good at what their model is built to do. The question is not which firm is best. It is which model fits the problem you have.
Traditional firms are built around leverage: a small number of senior people directing a large number of junior ones. That model is the right answer for some problems and the wrong one for others. EFFX is built differently, and the difference is structural rather than a matter of degree.
| Global strategy firmsMcKinsey, Bain, BCG | Global implementation firmsAccenture, Deloitte | Specialist agencies and boutiques | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Primary outcome | A recommendation. Analysis, a roadmap, and a decision framework, handed to you to execute. | A deployed system, scoped against a statement of work agreed before the work begins. | A deliverable in one discipline. A brand, a campaign, a product build. | A changed business. The strategy and the execution of it are one engagement. |
| Who does the work | A leveraged team. Partners sell and direct, managers run, junior associates execute. | Large delivery teams assembled per engagement. | Varies. Sometimes the senior people who sold it, sometimes not. | The founders, working through proprietary AI infrastructure rather than a junior tier. |
| Strategy and execution | Strategy and transformation advisory are typically the primary engagement. Implementation may involve a separate scope, team, business unit, or partner. | Technology deployment and managed implementation are typically the center of the engagement, often supported by separate strategy and transformation teams. | One discipline, executed. The strategy around it is yours to supply. | One engagement. The people who diagnose the problem are the people who build the fix. |
| Access to senior people | The partner sets direction and presents. Day to day sits with an engagement manager. | Account leadership above, delivery leads below. | Usually direct, at least early on. | Direct throughout. There is no layer between you and the people accountable. |
| Operating model | Scale capacity through leveraged professional teams. | Scale capacity through large global delivery organizations. | Scale through additional specialist talent. | Scale through senior operators supported by proprietary AI infrastructure and intelligent workflows. |
| Accountable for | The quality of the recommendation. | Delivery against the statement of work. | The deliverable. | Moving the business forward, from diagnosis through execution. |
| Best fit | Enterprise-scale strategic questions and board-level decisions, particularly where an independent institutional view carries weight with a board, a regulator, or an acquirer. If you need that name on the analysis, that is a real reason to hire them. | Large-scale technology deployment across a global footprint. Multi-year systems work that genuinely requires thousands of people. | A single well-defined problem in one discipline, where you already have the strategy and need it executed well. | Mid-market and founder-led companies, portfolio companies, family offices, and private equity held businesses. Situations where the constraint is alignment and execution. |
Built By Operators
BEFORE WE ADVISED, WE BUILT.

Doron FetmanThere is a difference between advising on a decision and being accountable for its outcome. Traditional consulting develops deep expertise in the first. EFFX was built by people whose entire careers have required the second.
Doron has been starting companies, scaling them, and navigating the exits since 1998, across industries that did not fully exist when he entered them. Integrated Expertise
ONE TEAM. NOT SIX ENGAGEMENTS.
Business problems don’t respect departmental boundaries. That is the entire reason EFFX exists.
A stalled pipeline is rarely only a sales problem. It is usually a positioning problem, a process problem, and a systems problem at the same time, and the reason it persists is that each of those sits with a different owner.
The traditional answer is to hire a strategy firm, then a brand agency, then a systems integrator, and pay three times to have the same context explained. Each one optimizes for its own scope. Nobody owns the seam between them, and the seam is usually where the problem actually lives.
EFFX brings strategy, organizational design, brand, technology, product, AI implementation, and executive leadership into a single team. Not through a network of partners we coordinate, but as capabilities the same people carry.
The practical result is that we can follow a problem wherever it goes. A brand engagement that turns out to be an organizational problem does not require a new scope and a new firm. It requires the work to change direction, which is a conversation, not a procurement cycle.
Where We Work Best
BUILT FOR PIVOTAL MOMENTS.
EFFX is most valuable when the opportunity is larger than the organization’s current ability to capture it, and solving the problem requires more than one discipline.
- A founder-led company preparing to scale
- A business whose performance has stalled
- A family office seeking operating support across portfolio companies
- A private equity firm integrating or improving an acquisition
- An investor supporting a leadership team after capital has been deployed
- An established company modernizing through AI
- A team launching a new product, business, or revenue stream
- A leadership group that knows something must change but has not identified the true constraint
AI-Native Operating Model
AI MAKES INFORMATION ABUNDANT. JUDGMENT REMAINS SCARCE.
Every firm now has access to the same models. What that changes is the price of information, not the value of knowing what to do with it. Analysis has become cheap. Judgment has not, and it is the only thing a client is actually buying.
Our operating model is built around that. AI removes the repetitive work, the research, the synthesis, the reporting, the first drafts, the monitoring, so experienced operators spend their time on decisions instead of production.
The traditional alternative is a pyramid. Add capacity by adding people, put them under a partner, and accept the consequence clients feel directly: the more capacity you buy, the more of your engagement is delivered by the least experienced people on it. We run 8ait OS™ in place of that tier, which is why senior operators stay on the work rather than supervising it.
Judgment is built, not prompted. Ours comes from decades of running companies, making the decisions, and being accountable for the results. The operating model exists so more of that reaches your business, and less of it gets spent on work a system should be doing.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is an operating partner?+
An operating partner works alongside leadership to improve the performance and value of a business. Unlike a traditional advisor who may stop at recommendations, an operating partner remains involved through prioritization, implementation, and execution.
What is the difference between an operating partner and a management consultant?+
A management consultant is engaged to analyze a problem and recommend a course of action. An operating partner is engaged to work alongside leadership through the decision and its execution. The distinction is not expertise, it is where the engagement ends. EFFX operates as the second.
How does EFFX compare to McKinsey, Bain, and BCG?+
They are built for enterprise-scale strategic questions and board-level decisions, particularly where an independent institutional view carries weight with a board, a regulator, or an acquirer. EFFX is built for founder-led, mid-market, investor-backed, and portfolio businesses where the constraint is alignment and execution rather than analysis, and where strategy and implementation need to be one engagement.
When should a company engage EFFX?+
Companies typically engage EFFX when performance has stalled, growth has outpaced infrastructure, an acquisition needs to be integrated, a new venture or product must be built, or leadership needs experienced support navigating transformation.
Does EFFX work with family offices and private equity firms?+
Yes. EFFX works with investors and leadership teams to assess portfolio-company constraints, support post-acquisition transformation, strengthen operating infrastructure, implement AI, and build initiatives intended to increase long-term business value.
Does EFFX replace an internal leadership team?+
No. EFFX works alongside existing founders, executives, and teams. Depending on the engagement, we may serve in embedded or fractional leadership capacities while helping the organization develop the systems and internal capabilities required to operate independently.
Is EFFX less expensive than McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Accenture, or Deloitte?+
EFFX uses a different delivery model. Large global firms are structured for enterprise-scale engagements supported by layered teams and extensive delivery organizations. EFFX combines direct senior involvement with AI-enabled infrastructure, which produces a more focused and efficient model for founder-led, mid-market, investor-backed, and portfolio businesses.
